COUNSELLING SERVICES

There are several avenues to access Counselling for your child:

SCS Guidance Counsellor - Rebecca Okemow

Rebecca has completed her Masters in Counselling. You may contact her for more information by phoning the school 204-842-2801

Our guidance time for SCS is 1 hour a day, with personal, academic and vocational counselling.

PMH Child and Adolescent Mental Health Worker - Jodie Thomas

Jodie Thomas has an office in Shoal Lake and comes to SCS once a month for teen clinic. She is able to work with students at this time, but sees the most benefit when students come to her office more than once per month. Jodie may link families to psychiatry if needed.

Jordan's Principle - Westman Region Tribal Health - Victoria McKay

Victoria McKay is available to work with children in K-12 who identify as Indigenous persons or who reside on a First Nation. Victoria comes to SCS at least once a week to see her clients. She is able to see students at school or in their home. She bridges work with family as part of working with the child.
